Pan Macmillan launched a competition to design and illustrate a 32 page children's book.

My response to the brief was to create a children's book about a hedgehog who normally hibernates during Winter but has always wanted to see and explore Winter. One day she is awoken by a fox in the middle of Winter and together they go on an adventure.

The illustration in the book were created by hand drawing characters and scenery which were then scanned into the computer with paper and watercolours textures added to them.
